May is Mental Health Awareness Month! This year, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) asks the world to “Take a Moment” to prioritize your mental health. Improve your mental health by taking a walk in nature; completing a breathing exercise; or listening and providing help, resources, and support to someone in need. HSH invites you to take a moment to assess your mental health and find ways to add calming strategies and practices throughout your day. Find some ways to improve your mental health here: https://lnkd.in/eabZvYGq

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month! This month we celebrate the varied and significant contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to American culture and society, including science and medicine, literature and art, sports and recreation, government and politics, and activism and law. The month of May was chosen for AAPI Heritage Month because it commemorates the immigration of the first Japanese people to the United States in 1843. May is also a significant month because it recognizes Golden Spike Day (May 10, 1869), which marks the completion of the transcontinental railroad that was built with significant contributions from Chinese workers.
