Furlong's Candies & Ice Cream

Since I moved to the south shore Furlongs has taken up a prominent place in my gift roster.
The chocolate covered Twinkies were a BIG hit last Christmas with both the kids and the adults!

They have lots of cute candy molds that are always a hit with the kids and they have nice boxes of assortments for all of your big occasions.

I also really enjoy the truffle boxes - they are smaller but the truffles are so rich.

They've also moved recently! And the new place is cute and super convenient as it abuts the public parking lot in Norwood center. I'm sure it will also get a ton of foot traffic now for ice cream in the summer.

I love the mural outside... but it had black cats and I am super partial to them =)

The staff is attentive, always address you as soon as they see you.

Great overall experience, everyone was very pleasant. The crew helped me with a very large order for my wedding. I got their infamous Penuche fudge as a gift for my wedding guests. They took the time to individually box it up and wrapped each box with a ribbon. All in all a great experience and I highly recommend!

Ice-cream and candy should provoke happiness...well happiness does not come into play here. Although ice-cream and candy are good, staff not so much. The staff seem miserable. No greetings, no smiles. Certainly not looking for conversation but common courtesy is a no brainer.

Cream is icey! I enjoy service and location. Very polite staff and manager was awesome!

Furlong's is a cute, little Mom & Pop candy and ice cream shop. They make the chocolates on-site, but the ice cream that they serve is Richardson's. They have a pretty good selection of homemade and bulk candies as well as pre-packaged boxes of chocolates. The chocolates are tasty. Pricing is standard and comparable to most homemade chocolate shops. Nothing really blew me away during my visit, but I loved the feeling of nostalgia inside of Furlong's. You can definitely tell that this place has been around for a while.

Love the new location it's nice and new. The little house was so charming though. I will miss that.

Love their candy and ice cream. Been going there for over 40yrs since I was a toddler! Great memories. My mom used to get us candy for every holiday now us kids continue the tradition!

Ice cream is the best around, no doubt about it. I also get raising prices , but I paid 3.25 for a kiddie cone with sprinkles last week and now that exact ice cream cone with sprinkles is 4.75. That's a ridiculous increase at 46 percent!!!!!! Who raises their prices 46 percent???!!!! This was very disappointing . 1.00 for sprinkles now??????
Way too much of an increase, sorry!!!

A family favorite for decades !

We come here mostly for the ice cream.

My wife likes the unique favors.

My son loves the cones in classic flavors and the shakes.

The staff at the walk up window are courteous and helpful. We always tip to show our appreciation.

We have shopped the indoor candy store for gifts, especially around the holidays.

The parking lot has ample parking.

The ice cream is good, and we shall return.

I came to Furlong's for ice cream, but discovered more. There is no end for a person with a sweet tooth for chocolate. It's a small place, so not too many novelty candies, but you'll find something to love. The staff was very helpful. I wanted to give to gifts. I told them what i wanted, and they put together the gift idea for me. They also have gift wrapping. I have nothing bad to say about Furlong's.

As i mentioned, i went for ice cream. I search Google for a spot in my area. I ordered a small which is 2 large scoops. One of my scoops was Maple Walnut. The other was Pistachio. My favorite ice creams flavors. Both flavors tastes like their flavors. Both flavors could have used more nuts in them, but both were good.

I also taste the Strawberry Cheesecake. That too was good. Tasting fresh strawberry's and the size bitten into the ice cream was a highlight. The chocolate chip cookie dough I was told is good. I did not try. I was able to see large chunks of chocolate pieces, not chips. I was impressed by that.

Will I go back? Yes. I didn't buy candy for myself, so I need to try the chocolate for myself.
